Day One (October 31st)

Event One — Wagon Wheel Axle Deadlift

The first event of the 2025 Rogue Invitational Strongman & Strongwoman competition was the Deadlift. Specifically, the athletes performed the exercise on an elevated setup with an Axle barbell. Everyone was given three attempts to achieve their one-rep max, which was then compared with the scores achieved by other athletes to complete the ranking and point distribution systems.

Strongman

Mitchell Hooper got off to a perfect start at the 2025 Rogue Invitational Strongman competition, having won the first event with a lift of 1,050 pounds (476.3 kilograms). He opened up with a 1,000-pound (453.5-kilogram) deadlift but had to add 50 pounds (22.7 kilograms) on his second attempt to get the max points.

Austin Andrade was the man who pushed Hooper, as he locked out a massive 1,025-pound (464.9-kilogram) deadlift on his third attempt. This marked a great start for Andrade, as he finished ahead of a lot of incredible athletes. Lucas Hatton and Trey Mitchell tied for third place with a score of 975 pound (442.3 kilograms)

Interestingly, she did not even need to perform her third attempt, as her second pull of 720 pounds (326.5 kilograms) proved to be enough to take the win. Her lift was simply immaculate, as she maintained perfect technique and easily reached lockout.

Jennifer Lyle and Andrea Thompson tied for second place, with both athletes reaching their limits at 700 pounds (317.5 kilograms). Lyle struggled a bit in her opening event but managed to get back to her best and reach the 700-pound (317.5-kilogram) milestone.
